Position: Podcast Intern
Address: 333 Bloor St. E, Toronto
Frequency is a curious little collection of different voices and subjects, run by people who love honest conversation and deep storytelling. We are committed to telling Canadian stories and amplifying Canadian voices. Our podcasts include a daily news show, a long-form serialized documentary series, a parenting podcast, a show about film and television, a podcast dedicated to food and drink, and even a sci-fi “audio cartoon” for kids. We hope you can bring strong journalistic skills and a passion for audio to our team.
What you’ll be doing:
Drafting social media messaging, research for podcast guests, fact-checking of documentary projects, editing transcripts (using AI transcription service), editing and recording audio for podcast ads, and more depending on the skills of the applicant.
We hope you have some experience using social media (particularly Twitter and Instagram) and strong research skills. We are looking for someone who is organized, a fast learner, detail-oriented, and very passionate about podcasting. Experience with Adobe Audition is a bonus, but not required.
What’s in it for the intern?
We are a small team, and you will be able to watch the production of a podcast from start to finish. You will gain valuable experience in podcast production, and may even have your name listed in the credits of your new favourite podcast! We are also building our team and a roster of freelance producers, and there is potential for growth for impressive interns.
